Need better transportation? Check out our Paratransit Wheelchair Vans
A little maintenance 101 on your wheelchair /scooter lift can save you time and headaches. Here are three things which are easy to check and make a big overall difference in the operation and reliability of your lift.
#1 Scooter/wheelchair lifting strap
Check for signs of tearing and or fraying. Replacement of the lifting strap is inexpensive and only takes about an hour. We stock lifting straps and most days you can come by and we can work you into our existing repair schedule.
#2 Battery
Often poor electrical connections will cause the lift motor to overwork which leads to premature motor failure. Look for rust or corrosion on battery terminals.
#3 Check your lifting device
Look for bent pins. Or if your lifting device uses a seat belt buckle, look for tearing or fraying. It is not uncommon to replace these.
A little maintenance 101 can prevent your chair or scooter from damage or you from being stuck due to lift failure.
